Hannah Farber was born in Floyd County, Indiana and is currently studying art at Ball State University. She expects to graduate with a BFA degree with a concentration in Drawing in May 2023. Hannah was originally inspired to get a degree in the arts by her love of writing stories with friends. This love of storytelling can be seen in the mass of illustrations drawn throughout her adolescence.
Hannah is influenced by important social movements, mental health issues, and pop culture. She is currently heavily concerned by the climate crisis that she is learning more about every day. The climate crisis has also inspired Hannah to become more involved with sustainable art making by using milk-based paints and found materials. Hannah aims for her artwork to help people learn more about different social movements and allow them to see themselves in her artwork. This body of work is made more digestible as fantastical elements are added from her adoration of storytelling often inspired by popular media at the time like TV shows and movies.
